The Carrie hairdo

Sweet Camilla asked me how I’d done this hairdo, so here is a easy step by step picture explanation. It’s super easy and looks really cool, so it’s perfect for when you are running late for a party of want to go straight from work to dinner out or something. All you need to do is invest in a hair bun shaper in a color similar to your hair, I bought mine from Claire’s in the UK but you can order them online. You also get different sizes, smaller one is best if your hair isn’t too long. I’ve used a medium sized one in brown. You’ll also need hairspray, an elastic hairband, and some bobby pins. That’s basically it!

What you need:

Step one is to make a pony tail, I make mine quite high on the head, but try different positions and find something you are comfortable with:

Step two is to spray a bit of hairspray on the ponytail to give it texture. Pull your ponytail through the hair bun shaper:

Step three, spread your hair around the hair bun shaper. Fasten a piece of your hair with a bobby pin at the front of the hair bun shaper, towards your forhead:

Continue to fasten your hair around the hair bun shaper with bobby pins, work your way from the top to bottom:

Secure the do with hairspray and voila! you have the Carrie do :)
